Want to be one of the first guests to see our new shark gallery?

Join us for our ‘Sharks! After Dark’ special event and preview our new gallery, ‘SHARKS! Predators of the Deep’, before it opens to the public! Can’t make it on Wednesday? You’re in luck, we will be hosting ANOTHER ‘Sharks After Dark’ event on Thursday, Oct. 22!

Attendees will enjoy a socially distanced evening featuring cocktails, café dining options, and a live DJ. On top of previewing our new shark gallery, you’ll have access to explore our other main galleries all evening. 

‘SHARKS! Predators of the Deep’ is one of the world’s largest shark exhibits. With 1.2 million gallons of water and countless viewing opportunities, guests will come face-to-face with some of the most formidable apex predators in the world but walk away with a new understanding and respect of these amazing animals.

The fine print: This is an extended hours event exclusively for guests 21 years of age and older. Face coverings are required in our galleries but may be taken off to actively sip on cocktails or while eating food in our designated areas. Tickets will NOT be available for purchase at the door.

Georgia Aquarium is putting a spooky spin on facial coverings this Halloween with our ‘Sips Under the Sea Lite: Mask-A-Rade’ event! 

Join us for a socially distanced night at the Aquarium and experience our galleries in a way that makes it feel like you’ve got the place to yourself!

Guests are in for a real (trick-or) treat! ‘Sips Under the Sea Lite: Mask-A-Rade’ will feature popular cocktails, dining options, and a live DJ, but with limited capacity to allow for safe social distancing. We encourage guests to wear costumes in the spirit of Halloween, but please keep all costumes appropriate and safe. Whether they are a part of your costume or not, appropriate face coverings are required; it is a ‘Mask-A-Rade’ after all.

Yoga by the Water

October 14, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Join us for yoga with a view and break a sweat at the most unique and inspiring fitness studio Atlanta has to offer – Georgia Aquarium!

‘Yoga by the Water’ offers socially distant yoga classes led by local instructors, designed to challenge students of all experience levels. Sessions take place in our magnificent Oceans Ballroom, offering incredible views of manta rays and whale sharks while you challenge your mind and body. Classes are intended for guests 8 years and older.

The fine print: Please bring your own exercise mat, towel and water. All participants must wear facial coverings to enter the Aquarium and must remain properly worn for the entirety of the visit, including the class. Tickets do not include Aquarium Admission. Advance registration required; tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

Virtual Science on Tap

October 15, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Non-Member Ticket: $10.00

Science on Tap is back – virtually! Join us on Thursday, October 15th for a virtual Science on Tap with Dr. Lisa Hoopes, Director of Research, Conservation and Nutrition at Georgia Aquarium and Dr. Kady Lyons, Research Scientist at Georgia Aquarium presenting “The Mysterious Lives of Sharks.”

Grab a drink, get comfy and join us for the presentation followed by a live Q&A session with Dr. Hoopes and Dr. Lyons.

The fine print: Tickets do not include Aquarium Admission. The full cost of your ticket goes directly to support Georgia Aquarium. Each registration link is good for your entire household.
